My Knotty Little Dishcloth

Supplies:
Two balls of cotton ww yarn in contrasting colors
Size 7 needles
Abbreviations:
MC – main color
CC – contrast color
Sl1 wyif – slip one stitch with yarn held in front
Sl1 – slip one stitch purlwise
MK – make knot – purl 3 sts together, leaving on the left needle. Wrap yarn around needle: then purl the same 3 sts together again and slip off left needle.
Finished size – approx 8”x 8”
Cast on 45 sts in MC
Row 1 – knit
Row 2 – using CC , K2, Sl1, *K3, Sl1 rep from * to last 2 sts, K1, Sl1
Row 3 – K2, Sl1 wyif, *MK, Sl1 wyif rep from * to last 2 sts, K1, Sl1
Rows 4 & 5 – using MC knit to last stitch, Sl1
Row 6 – using CC K4, *Sl1, K3 rep from * to last stitch, Sl1
Row 7 – K1, * MK, Sl1 wyif rep from * to last end
Rows 8 & 9 - using MC knit to last stitch, Sl1
Repeat rows 2 thru 9 to desire length ending with row 4 or 8, then bind off.
You can make you cloth larger or smaller by adding or subtracting stitches in increments of 4.
